Brad Mattox has been involved in the sport of rodeo since the age of 8 years old. Starting with Little Britches Rodeos, High School Rodeos, College Rodeo Team, Amateur Rodeo Associations, and the PRCA. Winning numerous titles which include qualifying for the National High School Finals all four years. In 1971 at the Kansas High School Finals, Brad won the title of All Around Cowboy by winning the Bareback Riding and Saddle Bronc Riding as well as placing in the Steer Wrestling. While attending college on Rodeo Scholarships Brad along with his team members won the Central Plains Team Title two years in a row and qualified for the College National Finals. During his amateur career Brad won many All Around Cowboy and Bareback Riding Championships.
In 1980 Brad turned his efforts to the PRCA and was winning rookie of the year and qualifying for the NFR when a back injury put his career on hold until the following year. In 1984 he won the Prairie Circuit Bareback Championship Title. His career continued until 1986 winning and placing at the world's top 10 rodeos, such as Houston, San Antonio, Denver, Fort Worth and Cheyenne.
Brad continued his career and love of rodeo by becoming a PRCA judge in 1987 and a producer of Team Ropings and Barrel Racings at his home in Derby, KS. In 2009 he was one of seven judges that was nominated as WPRA judge of the year! His career has continued and grown to this day by producing some of the largest team ropings and barrel races in Kansas. With this success Brad decided to grow his business to the fullest with a fully equipped indoor arena.
With this arena his plans no only include producing Team Ropings, Calf Ropings, and Barrel Racings but to produce Bull Ridings, indoor Rodeos, Corporate Parties and many more exciting events. He also operates a full care boarding stable and hay business.
